Nothing. We have this thread all the time on /co/ and its a corporate matter, not an artist matter.

This wont happen for several reasons.
One, its far, far easier to work with and reuse simpler assets between shows, two, it costs less than more complicated, or time intensive "styles"

You're pretty fuckin stupid if you think the decision comes from the artists/animators and not their employers, but then again, 90% of the people who have opinions on this have never actually worked in the industry, or ever for that matter
