People have made that point on here before.
That's more due to the artist being shit than anything. Besides, there is more to anime than the face. If you dont know your fundies you're not getting away with it. Not to mention anime artists have to consider things like lineweight. So there is no reason to say that learning to drawing anime is not a legitamate challenge.
