This is a year and a half worth of my progress, I'm 31 and started in 2017. I'm not one of those "been drawing since I was a kid" types, I tried getting into art a few times when I was younger, but gave up every time because I sucked at it. I don't draw like a maniac either, I'd say on average maybe 4-10 hours per week, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Age doesn't matter, as long as you can hold a pencil, your eyes work, and you don't have a legitimate learning/physical disability, you can improve. All you need is time, commitment, and, more importantly, the right resources to learn from.

You'll learn more just by reading a chapter of a good art book from someone who knows their shit, than by painting for 10 hours using the wrong techniques/fundamentals.

Top one was painted from reference in Jan 2018 (about 5 months after I started to learn how to paint, but only a couple months after I picked up digital painting), bottom one I painted from imagination today.
