I tried again tonight and it makes sense. But there's also an incredibly blocking aspect in my head that prevents the visualization of what I'm putting down on paper.
Hell, the cube drawing on the later half of this sticky https://youtu.be/3uEtdDvK6Xo is blowing my mind. I see the lines that he's making and I feel like I put them in the same spots with acute/obtuse angles but a decent true cube with perspective isn't coming out. I'd post the sketchbook but that's a waste of anyone's time to see.
On one hand, I'm glad that even basic shapes are still impossible for me. I'm hoping that means that I'm at least attempting to get to the route of what these big ideas are all about when put into practice. But on the other hand holy shit shapes are hard what the fuck?
Would it be worth looking around for some art classes somewhere? Just to force myself to fight through the frustration? Do places just casually do that if they're not a university?
