1. get a loomis book (or any book thats not too advanced at first, like bridgman books)
2. draw EVERY SINGLE PICTURE/DIAGRAM/etc. in the book at least once
3. come back later on and post/analyze results

Is studying loomis worth it if I want to get better at anime? I've been drawing in the anime style for quite a while now, and notice that I keep making mistakes with parts of the face being uneven, and the eyes being uneven. Especially a frontal view of the face. Should studying loomis help? Or should I keep drawing anime. I've heard you get better at what you draw, so I'm thinking of just continuing drawing in the anime style and eventually hoping it will work out, but from time to time I keep thinking about Loomis. The reason I try to avoid Loomis is because I see people that are really great at drawing in the loomis style (realism) but Suck at anime drawings, hence the reason I second guess myself before copying loomis drawing because I may just be wasting time if I were to study loomis when I could have devoted that time into drawing anime and getting better at it.

What are you going to argue next, that since the book was titled "drawing the head and hands" he should have added hands floating around too?
