If it's any consolation, I was very very tempted to use this image by Kazoo (as Cath noticed in the comments), but I want to try to sample something nice from a wide selection of daddies and I had already made OP images from Kazoo twice.

I made the thread before the DAD rollover, so it was just coincidence. I really hope you enjoy your time here, it really can be a whole lot of fun.

Still got a shitload of work to do and stuff to fix. Having gigantic problems with the lighting. I'll probably end up pulling some more refs out to fix things. The colour harmony isn't working out very well, I feel, but I like the ambiance so far. Feedback would be highly appreciated. Got a couple of weird tangents on the top of the furnace and far left as well I have to look at.

What exactly are you trying to study with this one? Accuracy? Stylisation? I think her face is too wide. I've been experimenting with crosshatching lately as well and have the same issue I think you do. Strokes feeling a bit random. Looking at old comic books is helping me think more about direction and line purpose. Perhaps it will help you too?
