In all seriousnessthough, a website as big and fragmented as reddit is going to have parts that are decent no matter what the site-layout may be. People of different mindsets cluster together, and somewhere there's going to be a community that genuinely cares about the quality of your posts, and not just validating their worldview.

I think that the point >>1987577 is making is, that the layout of reddit is one that heavily promots a cancerous, self-absorbed mindset, while 4chan allows us to cast off the image which we feel obligated to maintain when we have a sense of consistent identity. When you see well thought-out posts on 4chan, it means that someone has a genuine interest in discussing ideas and passing on knowledge. With people on reddit, you often enough can tell at first glance that they're just posting whatever they believe is going to get them karma, that they are motivated by a desire for social validation.
