I feel like now that I'm actually learning the fundamentals that I don't really have the right to draw for fun anymore. I'm not good enough to actually apply them, but now I'm aware they exist and I don't want to draw anything without them

How do I make a style where I can draw cute girls while also being able to draw intimidating men, without breaking the rules of the style? I either go too cartoony or too realistic. I can't find the balance. Do you guys maybe have any examples of an artist that sounds like what I'm trying to reach?

If I want to build a following online do I have to use Instagram? Right now I'm only using twitter and newgrounds. Really fucking hate instagram because it force crops your images but it's really hard to get people to notice you on twitter without trend hopping
