Are you sure? Those paintings were done without a base to paint over. I put the study pic in the other monitor and then went to town on a fresh sai page with colors. I now know that you're supposed to put something underneath it to guide the process. Even if I'm not ready, I feel a bit constrained to my safe space and want to get rolling on values and planes and painting would force me to confront that.
