I really want to jump into painting and start my own projects but colors give me so much fucking anxiety, and when I do attempt to paint I get stuck at blocking midtones. I can do sketches just fine, I think. What the fuck is wrong with me? I was considering painting in black and white first and then coloring it but everyone seems to say it's the worst way to paint.
