/ic/ - Artwork/Critique

How do you befriend artists, I'm a big fan of cartoonish art but I never really got in to drawing or just fandoms/communities in general and I think it whould be fun to have a friend that can guide me and teach me one or two things about art but I don't know how to go about it. I come from a very religious family so I grow up with this mentally that everybody's bad except the ones that follow my specific sect so because of that my social skills are pretty bad.
