I want to go back to drawing boxes. My animals look like shit.

>Wanted to make it as an artist and started learning how to paint
>Work hard and save up to buy a drawing tablet
>Love painting landscapes, generic fantasy type shit but I enjoy it
>Dad always comes into my room every night to see what I've painted
>Says he loves my work
>Some times he'll ask me to send him some via email
>he's just lying to make me feel better about my shitty work
>Be 17
>Realize I'll never make it
>Fully give up on art so I can focus on other studies
>Dad asks why I stopped
>Dad tries to get me to carry on as he loved my work
>Be 19
>Dad breaks his leg and has to be house bound for a month
>Asks me to go into his office to pick up some paper work for him
>Sure no problem pops
>Go into his work and the receptionist shows me where he works
>Dad said work was on his desk by his PC
>As I pick it up I knock the mouse
>Screen turns on

>MFW my dad has had an old painting of mine as his work background for 3 years
>MFW I realize my dad actually liked my work
