Non-artists are often spoken of, for they are most often the target audience of art. Art is appreciated by artists, but in a different way than the regular non-artist.
The word non-artist is cumbersome and sounds funny, should there not be a word for non-artists?
So is there a word for non-artists? The Chinese call non-Chinese Laowai, the Japanese call non-Japanese Gaijin. The Jews call us Goyim.
Also, a question: I have noticed that nearly all of my social media followers are other artists instead of the regular non-artist, and it seems to be the same for most other artists. Why is this?
