Not quite.
There'll be two VPs - you slide one up/down on a vanishing trace, it works exactly like in linear persp. except you slide it on a curve instead of a straight line.
The other is literally behind the viewer, so it can't be projected on their lens (drawn within the cone of vision on your picture)
