Air Gear, Tenjou Tenge. Both are made by Oh!Great. He is shit at telling a story or atleast going past the opening. These are pure style over substance.

Berserk for obvious reasons
Yotsuba for the simple things in life
Fullmetal Alchemist, first complete manga with a good ending.

Comics:
Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck. Great story, Multiple things happening in panels, subtle jokes , the greatest adventures known to man.
Superman Kingdom Come, art and story combined.
Joker's Asylum, great shorts about different bad guys. Killer Croc's part I highly recommend.
