Whoops, I guess I read the age wrong. I was thinking more teenager.The whole shoulders thing is more for the position of the arms/armpits rather than the width of the torso. I still think keeping him more rectangular than bottom-heavy would be advised, but more because it makes him look underdeveloped instead of femboyish

Face proportions are probably the biggest signifier of age along with height. Even some lolicon artists get away with giving the chick massive tits or hips if she's 4'5 and has the face of a toddler. So bigger eyes, larger forehead (or you can shift everything down) and larger head in general., probably pudgy cheeks from baby fat too. But I guess it kinda depends on the age range

I'd draw a kid like this but something more preteen-middle schooler really depends. Some kids develop really fucking fast and by the time they're 12 they mog most adults. But those are probably what's standard. If you look up kid vs adult body proportions you could probably get something, or maybe look up some youngish characters that look like what you're aiming for and ref that
