Oh my GOD, it's not even close. I can't believe I was going full doomer there for a while. I've been making use of the main art generators and it's such a hassle to even get anything remotely "close" to the inputs I put in, and don't get me started on how the upscaling shreds any fidelity that might be generated. Feeding these generators wide, generic prompts seems to get better results, but they all have hard time handling any *actual* creative input. Either the image falls apart or the machine just gives up and half-asses it.

The optimistfags were right. This will just be merged with the stock photo industry. I can see people being paid minimum wage to shuffle through thousands of images each day to find some gems that could be bundled together as reference pictures. I can't see an artist paid a decent salary in the current industry being told to waste man hours pressing buttons until something 1/10th decent shows up to work with for a specified, detailed project. I imagine big media companies will have to make their own massive databases for work specifically-trained for their media.

Who knows what the future holds for this tech, I'm sure I'll shit my pants down the road, but that's the future. For now I'll be sleeping easier tonight, and you doomerfags should too.
