when i draw i lose track of how dark and how light areas are supposed to be and it isnt until i am finishing the drawing up that i can see what values seem too dark or too light, how can i rectify this? should i have a value chart next to me while i work?

if you are drawing in black and white, should it be in pencil, charcoal, or ink? what are the advantages of each?

the fact that no one can post anything in here shows how surface level and derivative most people are here just drawing anime shit.

i doubt there is a concrete message in this one but it still gets the noggin going.

best resource for accurately seeing and using value? I struggle with value even though it should just be simple black and white. my values are not always accurate. It causes me a lot of problems, what is a good resource to improve?
