Sigh. Yes you are. You're the only poster that impressed me recently and I remember you also drew a trad xerox skull. It was impressive but lacked creativity and your loli holding the scissors looked like she was from the movie Antz.
You are basically Drawabox-tier. Good at rendering but never challenging yourself with interesting poses like >>6224280
, feel free to prove me wrong.
I'm sure you've studied perspective, but I believe you've spent most of your effort on rendering rather than gesture.
As I am studying Hogarth, whose focus is on constructing from imagination, I am trying to make UNIQUE, FORESHORTENED poses instead of generic flat poses like >>6224280 and basically anything from a standing reference photo. I have memorized the proportions already and provided I spend the time rendering I can make a decent drawing already and it's not going to change no matter how much I grind or learn to shade (which is nonexistent in manga).
I can go the make-money route and just copy poses and learn to render and take commissions, but that's not my goal. My goal is to draw manga so I have to learn to construct any pose from imagination, which is why studying perspective is my next priority. Endlessly striving for perfection copying off a reference is meaningless to me.
