Chromatic aberration is entirely because of lens imperfections, which modern ones have very little of. It’s more to emulate older lenses but people just kinda use it whenever, sometimes for style alone, and combined blur/noise to sell an effect.

Just rendered this piece, very happy with the cloth, though the lines need to be deleted here and there, fixed for more flow but I’ll do that for the next piece, for now, I think I’ve got a workflow going.
