Upwards of 90% of us are never going to get good, at least not to a professional level.
If you NEET mode it, your family and friends will look down on you and your motivation and productivity will most likely drop, as well as your happiness and general health.
If you wageslave and try art at the same time, you will make barely any progress, and eventually inbetween paying the bills and doing normie things with colleagues, then friends then girlfriend then wife, you'll forget all about art. Maybe your kids will draw someday and you'll mention that you used to want to be an artist too, but life just got in the way.

Nile and anyone else still in school/uni, try as hard as you fucking can to make it before you finish, it gets much harder to grind up to the proper level when you're in the real world.

Anyone else who people tell you you're good enough to look for some commissions or putting your work out there, fucking do it, just make original pieces and try, just TRY for the things you want to do.

Otherwise you'll vanish into obscurity someday too. Doing work you don't care about, living out your life like you're idling on a game, grinding dailies for the sake of it. You'll become a face in the crowd, a dead account on a forum, a promising blog that hasn't been updated in years. A number in the tax records, a name and a date on a grave.

I used to feel so good helping people or sharing knowledge in the draw threads, consider this a last piece of advice. Either go for it all out, 100%, whenever you do something go in it to win it, or just don't bother at all.
