I have two questions, but of course critique would also be greatly appreciated.
> How do you get past an outline?
I've been drawing a bunch of figures for the last few weeks and every time I get to the stage of the one in pic related I just kinda freeze up and don't know what to do. I'm not sure if it's a matter of rendering or if it's a matter of just needing to practice a fuck ton more, or what? The closest I have gotten recently to something that hasn't just been an outline or look painfully like a cartoon (even with inking and coloring) is the lighter in pic related.
> How to you guys stay motivated?
I want to draw, but just nothing is captivating me long enough to really want to put a ton of effort into a full piece. It used to be that just being able to make something that wasn't a stick figure would keep me motivated, but I've been so upset lately with how poor my art is, that I haven't wanted to draw and when I do I want to quit as soon as I make my first mistake. How do you all get out of those slumps?
