I didn't call you retarded. I've just never heard of the pen wearing out. If you take a Wacom pen apart, there are no parts to wear out - the nib sits in a copper coil that attaches to a circuit board with wires and floats inside the pen case, and THAT can get gummed up with dust or crud, and you can clean it out. It sounds like that's the issue. It's worth looking into before dropping the cash on a new tablet. There are no mechanical parts to wear out. If the wires were broken, it wouldn't work at all.
