how the fuck can I learn to draw figures from imagination at any angle, pose and foreshortening?
the books and studies and memory /imagination drawings I've been doing seem inefficient
wondering if there's a completely different viewpoint on learning this,
For example Kim jung gi said he only ever drew from memory

it takes a long time in either way, and differences in talent make it impossible to measure one strategy of learning against the other. I think there must be some method which beats out all the rest and maybe it seems an unusual method compared to the normal
have you heard of any interesting strategies of learning figure drawing from artists you think have good skill?

also, when KJG says to only draw from memory, does he mean applying your memory of the details and structure into an imagination based drawing, or to actually recreate a memory of something you saw (like observation drawing but based on what you can visualise)?

how to get better at 5 point perspective from imagination? particularly figures, but is there any theory or textbook on the topic in general? so far I've only seen a few pages on it in the books I've read with no real detail. I see sometimes there are perspective lines drawn around people but I don't see how this could actually be used
