Here's three balls with different forms of shading- the first two are blended, the third is cel-shaded. It's the cartoon way. As you can see, blended shading brings out the form of a drawing, much more than cel can.
The anon says you don't have an identifiable form, so realistically shading, like these first two balls, will be hard if your image seems so undefined.
