Mostly what you're going to want in a monitor is an ips panel (in plane switching). ips panels have better color representation and can be viewed at 178° angle and still be accurate to color. At the cost of speed (Higher bit color depth use higher bandwidth) and price. Most Professionals and content creators use ips monitors. Also I'm new to /ic/ and studying art but I would make a safe assumption that resolution is also a important factor. Personally I own a 27UD88 (pic related) . It's a great 4k ips panel monitor but I haven't gotten into digital art that much yet at the skill level I at. Hopes this answers your question.

I'm not sure how I should start digitally or when I should.
I have a tablet but it was mostly for osu when I got it. it's a Wacom intous small version(old model). Is this good enough to start with or should I pick up a bigger different one?
