Welcome to ArtPG. This is an /ic/ draw game with no mandatory requirements to advance. You can follow silently on your own terms or you can post and contribute. The adventure takes place in an ‘alternate Gaea’ similar to our earth in all but a few ways:

>This planet is larger and has more trees which make more oxygen. As a result, all life forms are much bigger. Humans are exempt (mostly).

>The dinosaur extinction event never happened. Instead, lizards slowly devolved as mammals came into the picture. The Pleistocene extinction event never happened either, leaving us today with relatively large animals inhabiting much of the world.

>World population floats around 1 billion. Civilized settlements are magnificent walled cities. Settlements that are unwalled are considered derelict, dangerous, etc.

>Human technology is about 150 years ahead of us now. Cities are linked by hyper rail. Electromagnetic receivers allow devices to be powered anywhere a human can step on or below the surface (and up to 35 miles above). The rich have access to limited personal levitation devices. DNA splicing has developed recently.

>There is no military because these humans have realized that war is not the answer. There is a central government that operates on some amazingly fair philosophy that Earth humans cannot comprehend so I won’t mention it. There is still crime and typical problems of Earth however.

This world is a land of archetypes and mythology. The dangers are infinite and people have to cooperate to survive. You however, are on a solo journey to a mountain range that is the site of an asteroid strike. The central government confirms via satellite the crater contains an immense wealth of new metals and minerals. Despite this, no one has dared brave the journey to this site. You bring with you an explorer’s sketchbook, where you will record major events that happen to you, roughly three times a week. How you make it to the crater is up to you.
