This book is great and I'm learning a lot but it doesn't contain any "assignments" or even say "do this to practice the skill you just learned". As a beginner what are some ways I could use the things I'm learning just to practice?

I am reading this book but I don't understand how Scott determinate Station point (SP) & Cone of Vision (COV).

What's the right position for the SP, the right size for the COV and the right distance between Vanishing points to avoid distortion?

> I believe he tells us how to do it in page 24-25 but I can't understand a damn thing, you need to convert image to top view? How am I suppose to do that...

I just bought this book as my first ever drawing book, is it an okay starting book for somebody who can't even draw a straight line?

I started the first chapter and it says to master each skill before moving on. So far it says to just draw until you can get a straight line, should I just keep practicing that and then move on?
