It's well drawn and rendered. Has a lot of character. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like you're going for something dramatic. In which case, you might get a stronger effect with more of a fade into the background, more blurred edges in general, possibly along with deeper areas of occlusion especially of the ear
