Pen tilt is when the stylus and tablet are able to translate the angle you're holding your stylus into data that changes the shape and dimensions of the brush in the software you're using. It's a novel concept but not really essential; some people really like it though.

Don't be taken in by that gorgeous monitor, the Surface Studio is uh...not good for its intended purpose-and judging by the shape of the stylus I doubt it works in that manner, either.

With most styli you're going to be moving around in a similar motion to using a pen so you might as well get used to it bud.
