Hey /ic/

I am curious if anyone here has any experience selling their work online through a stock photography sites like CreStock, ShutterStock, ect... and/or design marketplaces like Redbubble, Society6, Zazzle, ect...

Is it possible to earn a supplementary income this way? I am going to be attending art school very soon and am looking for ways that can help me pay while I work part time.

Is it realistic to think I could actually make any money or does it take a few years of networking and a huge number of submissions before the royalties will actually make me any money? It seems like an easy way to make money off my art and photography hobby without putting a lot of my time into marketing? or am I being unrealistic thinking I could make a few hundred dollars a month on the side?

Also anything related to profiting off art would be cool.

On the topic of vidya game art, what do you guys think of Guild Wars 2 art? I know they at least got Kekai Kotaki and Ruan Jia
