>but thats what painters usually do,
non. Look at the painting and look at the reference image. Like the fingers are lined up pretty much exactly where they should be on the y axis. That's normally something that'll be a little off if it's being done freehand. The only obvious evidence that it's freehand is the wonky eyes, but that can still happen pretty easily when gridding.
>you sketch on a canvas and if you get something wrong you either erase it with an eraser if you are using charcoal/graphite
erasers fuck up canvas in my experience. You're married to your lines, even if you want to erase they're still there.
>Do you ever watch portrait painting videos on youtube?
not often no.
>even if you dont like the style or materials used theres always something to learn that you can incorporate in your process.
yeah but part of the whole time is entropy meme and the quest for the novel aesthetic is that for the peasant painting era I mostly just spiral into my own process built on mistakes and bad decisions. Been very limited outside influence or attempts to copy other people's approaches.
>not everyone uses grids
I never said everyone uses grids! My entire point is that all these kiddos that have literally never made a painting that call me a "gridder" as an insult are really only demonstrating that they have NO frame of reference about fundamental shit. All those youtubesmen have used grids. Even if they're not in their demo paintings, they still have experience with them.

not to mention that a lot of the time they do put down a dot grid that you can't see. Art is magic! In that it's all about tricking dipshits into thinking you're special!

>the classic >I was just pretending to be retarded xD
yeah this entire thing is a performance meme. The irony is that you ITT are actively trying not to be retarded and you literally cannot help it.

No shit. I'm not working I'm talking to some snowflake nigger kids. This is losing. It's clear that all you do is lose.

>Jimmy doesn’t realize that people interact with him for the same reason people watch cockfights.
They largely don't watch cockfights. Which shithole country are you from?
> We just want to see a lesser life form
The irony is that you're impotent pathetic virgins and you're bad at art. So you obsess about seeking out ANYTHING that lets you feel like you're "better than." This is something that pathetic people do. I like interacting with pathetic people. I feed off their angst. This is why you're here.
>Except in this scenario there’s only one chicken
No there's two currently Post your work you pussy ass chicken chicken.
>and it’s so retarded it only ends up hurting itself.
You'd have been better off saying it's like going to a clown show, because that's what it is. When you say it's like going to a chicken fight, but you're fighting the chicken, that makes you also a chicken. You're the other chicken. Dumb ass kid.
>Equally as entertaining.
buck buck bagok

>Imagine spending this much effort on 4chan lmao.
Imagine thinking that responding to weirdo kids that took the bait while watching MST3k is "effort."
>If you spent half this time actually studying
Are you the Rockwell fag or the porn animator? Either way you're /beg/ and you're spending all this time not studying or drawing or participating in the thread. All you're doing is projecting your feelings at a stranger.
>you’d be at least 25 percent as good as I am
So all I need to do is study and I can lose 20 years of art experience and education?! Sign me up!
>Oh well.
Draw the OP you bad-at-art loser.

>also you so obviously want to do female nudes
not really though. I like distorted faces. If I was going to work with a model it'd probably be doing rambunctious nonsense and goofing around and capturing it on video or photography.
>but nobody is gonna sit for a painting if you live in hell and constantly want to fuck them.
Well yeah I'd probably only be comfortable doing lewds and nudes with someone I did sex stuff with already.
>your responses to brian having models of "I'd just fuck them like a normal person instead of paint them" were really creepy.
Well I dont remember the exact thing but I took his comment as creepy and made a joke. Like he was kind of implying that he does nude models in place of having a normal sex life and bragging that he gets to look at free tits or whatever.

I would never try to metoo someone that's just doing a gig or whatever. I have a lot of respect for people and production. But I also wouldn't creep on qts at the beach and ask them to come over so I can draw their tits and "lord over them with my niceguyness" or whatever the fuck Brian said.

Like yeah, my impulse when I use tinder is to find people that want to do sex stuff. My impulse with girls is that I want to play with them. Not make them sit in awkward silence while I literally objectify them. Diff'rent strokes.
