I suppose, but when I see stuff or art that I like I just quietly like it so the artist knows, I don't gush about it to the rest of a fandom. Think it just makes me feel uncomfortable because now the owlfags want me to paint more owls and these people want more shifu and I'd much prefer just a quiet little like rather than actual loud attention. Miles said once about how getting notes or likes or (you)s is a useful addiction to cultivate and shit but it just makes me want to hide my stuff.

Also fan pages make me think of those sweaty sonic and MLP types, like rabid Dr Who level fans. Knew people like that at uni and don't want to be anywhere near them.
