i think why it looks big to me is the left eye being small compared to the right or being too high or both, and her jaw being too low and the cheek too high which makes the jaw even bigger and makes the face look too big, also the mouth being in a straight angle which makes the jaw look big.

jaw is at the mouth level, here's some lolmis and some animu faces and the land mark makes sense in those twos.
