Yeah, most of the time. There's still no denying their art, while very competent, is just serviceable. After all, artstation is mostly here to advertise concept artists. Nobody cares about the drawing themselves, the art, but what can be done with them, as a basis for a future video game. The technique is praised, not the art.


That's not to say technique is uncompatible with artfulness, pic very related.
