I don't know about smarter. I am smart -enough- to realize that I don't really know shit. Instead, Maybe its the fact that art as a topic, forces you into deeper states of reflection than other hobbies or professions. If I sit and look at a Rembrandt and try to de-construct it, thinking about how he put brush to canvas. How he moved and what he thought. I realize that he is dust currently. The physical form of him is dust but he survives through the work he created and put out to the world. And it will happen to everyone, we will become dust and survive based only on the work we make. We are just meat, and we separate and divide each other based on metrics, and then we decide on how to treat people outside of our own perceived group. It's fucked
