Alright since otherfags here are being toxic little shits ill give out my constructive critique.

The main issue with this piece here is how bland the color scheme is, the negative space and the lack of dynamic lighting

the composition itself is pretty interesting, just executed poorly with the painting (It's pretty bad anon) and lack of finish with it.

Follow more of color theory, use orange and blue as the scheme, have the light source be from the ship scene bleeding onto the squid and the bg dark. Have the eyes give out some orange lighting too, not too much but to give the appearance of an inner glow from the body.

In the end, keep practicing and look at inspiration/ reference.
