How much do you make per hour as an artist doing commissions or while working for companies?

For commissions, say you charge $50 for a sketch that takes you two hours. You would be making $25/hour.

Also stop caring about what you make for the first few sketches. Find a natural position to draw with it (I put it on top of my keyboard, so it has an incline) and just draw boxes, circles, lines and other simple shit until they stop looking wobbly.

I chose science over art school, but I resent the idea that my friends in art school get to draw all day and get all these fun classes while I barely get time to draw during the school year. I want to prove a point by getting just as good, if not better than them at art.

Get your friends to start drawing, or limit your play time with them. Surely you can be friends and not waste an entire weekend on vidya? Or are your friends destined to be losers anon? Help them and yourself, limit your play time and get some shit done. You'll be great some day if you can do that, I know it.

/ic/ is a bunch of meanies and when I ask for help, the help isn't much help. I'm starting to think actually skilled artists don't even come here or help. I wish there was some pro tripfag artist who was active and always posted in threads and gave a helping hand without being too much of a pr/ic/k. It's the savior /ic/ needs. But alas, I don't think someone like that would even bother with, or have the time for this place.
