I enjoy the challenge of painting stuff like this all from scratch, plus I think you lose something when you strive for utter realism and achieve it. I like to refer to this artist, Aron Wiesenfeld because he's clearly trying to paint things as realistic as possible but because of his own internal bias (that we all have) the leaves and brush come out looking slightly surreal, like there's something off but you don't really know what it is. I like that. Maybe I didn't achieve that but I tried
