I'm really not that pretty

I studied a photo and made other observations of plants from life. The small imagination cropped figure was drawn far too small and I couldn't maintain any control over value, and ultimately compressed face made it look like a very strange and inhuman likeness. I'm trying to consider value in everything I draw
