Your values are not organized at all. You have patches of bright and dark everywhere, and are losing sight of the major masses. Simplify more, think in big flat planes. Also no need to get all caught up in texture stuff, as Loomis says you don't need to put in wrinkles for them to look old, the structure of the head will say that for you.
