I'm just saying that robotic step-by-step construction is not a reflection of my drawing skill, creativity or taste. It's just a step-by-step procedure like cooking, where I have to rediscover extra steps which I skipped or forgot as I learn it. I find it boring and soulless, but learning to shade is fun and it won't hurt to learn to copy faces.
This for example I didn't measure and it looks perfect. I have other examples but I'm just posting my latest.

I find frontal faces to be fairly flat, in terms of drawing . Sure, I will take your advice and make sure I study 3D form after this Huston course, but just like how i managed to make this profile face look 3D I am confident that I will be able to make 3D-looking frontal faces without suffering through Drawabox if I practice enough and use the correct techniques.
Maybe 3D form will be more important when I do tilted faces, but that's actually my specialty. Throughout February I spent my time ONLY drawing tilted faces, which is why I was able to satisfyingly draw this.
I will take your advice though and try out KtD/DaB after I finish this Huston course. One at a time, though.
