Thanks... I think it has something to do with my traditional background. I used to do acrylics and draw in pencils a lot. I find that doing line drawing with a real pen helps when you transition digitally.

On getting better... Everyone has their own way of learning and there is no one-mold-fits-all. However, i think the best way to improve is to observe from real life. People who worship and grind anatomy masters like Loomis or Hampton often forget that those are just supplements to help with your live drawing observations. Live drawing is the key. If you have an atelier nearby you can check it out. Or people-watch with your sketchbooks. Real gestures involve real people, not posemaniacs dummies in awkward poses.
I wish i practiced much of what i preach..
