Well, I'm definitely guilty of being boring, but I avoid attempting anything conceptually or emotionally interesting because I literally don't have the fundamental abilities necessary to even attempt such a thing, and that applies to a good number of people here as well. I could probably pour my heart and soul into something high-concept, completely original and/or abstract but that would achieve fuckall for achieving any level of improvement. I can't do my fucking taxes if I don't know how to add and subtract.

I'm actually really surprised that Lava would post something like this. He always seemed kind of accommodating if a bit cheeky at times. and it's odd to see this erupt from him. It's almost disappointing.

I think I might have started this picture ass-backwards, in that I haven't dealt with the light source at all since I started drawing, but I probably should have sorted that out first, and proceeded on to everything else.

It's less anatomically impossible and more of the viewer not understanding how perspective works and having terrible depth perception. You could do this with pretty much any pose, especially from that angle.
