thanks, the goal is just to learn how to draw in a more appealing way. the studies have helped me get a 'feel' for how the artists on the show may have drawn which I think has helped my own drawing process somewhat. I did learn how to draw a normal figure first yeah, I used to go to figure drawing sessions somewhat regularly before COVID hit

I use Adobe Flash, which is a vector based program with no options for opacity. I think the hard flat black is what makes the lines look clean, mostly. I also draw fairly zoomed in, so when I zoom out the imperfections are lost

this is a hard angle, I tried to do a redline but it came out shitty. I think you might be losing the curve of the mouth as it wraps around the face. it's hard, too, because from below the mouth wants to curve downward but a smile makes it curve upward. the shapes cancel out awkwardly. here's a page of sketches by Yoh Yoshinari with a bunch of up angle faces that you might find helpful. good on you for attempting it!

Whenever I try to study or analyze the artists I look up to, it seems like I compare what i drew to theirs and can;t help but think they;ve been doing this for decades and I've barely scratched the surface so I can't help but see the differences in skill. At the same time it seems like an excuse and I can't help but get frustrated as to why my drawings don't look like theirs.

So, lately I've been having trouble with eye placement. Can someone help me figure out how to place eyes on 3/4 views, downward views, difficult head poses, etc.
