I just came here to say don't give up. You very clearly have an eye for it and it would be a shame.

I also had a hard time this year reaching any art goals that I had. I did make some gains but ultimately I feel like I failed myself, haha.

Do what works for you. Even if that means only doing a couple of pages to create a scene. Eventually you will feel like you have a better grasp of the flow of things.
