There's only a problem if your comfort zone is a bad one. You can leave your comfort zone and try to improve at another skill and obviously you will notice a swift improvement. It will make you feel happy and you will feel like you're improving faster. However skills only start off improving really fast, you have to practice regardless of how noticeable your improvements are, when you get used to it. It's all small gains from here.
