I think the main reason why the character you drew sleeping appears to be "old". Is most likely a mix between the giant nose and the "wrinkles". As humans the older we grow the bigger our noses get, so in theory this can be applied to art as well. By just simply making the nose a lot smaller it makes the character appear a lot younger as a result. Keep in mind big noses are okay, i'd just recommend keeping them on older characters. Also I should add that I made the head a little smaller since, once again younger characters tend to have smaller heads, compared to adult heads anyway.

You're a pretty good artist so I don't have anything else to say.
