Could you please tell me if the render technique, particularly on the plushie is okay?

(old work, can't remember crits and have not painted much since but now I want to, just dont want too bad habits)

I wish I could write with fountain pens. For some reason I find them hard to control, except those very thin one nibs with lots of friction also nice

There is nothing making you quitting forever. Stop expecting good drawings, the very reason you do the exercises is not to have good drawing in the end but to understand the principle that is being taught.

Anon, that's a very based idea and a good drawing! But if you seek a little critique:
- IMO the hair thick lines in the hair ruin it. It may be that its just work in progress, but yeah make it painty.
- The woman in the face and the smoke. From far it seems like her head is smoking or that it was shot and blood is coming. I do think you drew the clouds well, but IMO the way you placed them is a bit off
