Another /beg/ here. Started learning some basics and perspective. Figure drawing and good fundamentals is what has me excited the most for now.
Is pic related actually good advice? I'm really looking for something to grind on to complement my "regular" drawing.
Could I alternatively copy Hamptons Figure Drawing book twice, or is that book unsuited for that?

Will I learn figure drawing, shapes and construction by doing this?
